Every Generation of Artists Has Been Afraid of Something
Maybe you’ve been browsing our website or reading our recent posts and started to wonder:
“Are these guys against AI?”
The answer is no.
If anything, we’re probably spending more time testing AI tools than ever before.
But that doesn’t mean we believe AI should replace the creative process.
Because we’ve seen this story before.
Long before artificial intelligence entered the conversation, artists were convinced that another technology would make their skills obsolete.
Animators who spent years drawing every frame by hand looked at computers with the same uncertainty many creatives feel about AI today.
Would software replace craftsmanship?
Would speed replace quality?
Would technology replace creativity?
None of those things happened.
Instead, something much more interesting occurred.
The artists who understood the fundamentals didn’t disappear.
They simply gained a better set of tools.
Computers never replaced great animators.
They removed repetitive work and allowed talented people to spend more time creating.
Today, we believe AI is following exactly the same path.
AI Is an Incredible Tool. It Is Also an Imperfect One.
There’s no point pretending AI isn’t changing our industry.
It already has.
Tasks that once took hours can now be completed in minutes.
New ideas can be explored faster.
Iterations happen almost instantly.
Clients receive concepts sooner than ever before.
That’s exciting.
But it’s also where many people stop thinking critically.
Because speed is only one part of professional production.
Consistency.
Creative direction.
Lighting.
Camera language.
Composition.
Storytelling.
Those things still require decisions.
Not guesses.
We Don’t Ask AI to Make Our Animations
One of the biggest misconceptions about AI is that you simply describe an animation with a prompt and receive a finished production.
Sometimes you do.
But if you’ve ever worked on commercial projects, you quickly discover the limitations.
A character subtly changes from shot to shot.
Facial features drift.
Wardrobe evolves without reason.
Windows move.
Furniture disappears.
Lighting changes.
Objects randomly appear.
The result may look impressive for a few seconds.
But try building an entire campaign this way.
Or a product commercial.
Or an LED show for a live event.
Consistency suddenly becomes the hardest part of the project.
Our Workflow Starts Long Before AI
This is where our philosophy is different.
We don’t ask AI to invent everything.
We build the important parts ourselves.
Characters.
Scenes.
Camera movement.
Lighting.
Composition.
Visual identity.
Once those elements are under control, AI becomes incredibly powerful.
It can accelerate specific tasks.
Generate variations.
Enhance details.
Help with cleanup.
Speed up production.
Instead of replacing creativity, it supports it.
That gives us something many AI-generated projects still struggle to achieve:
Complete creative control.
The Best Results Come From Combining Both Worlds
Some people believe the future belongs entirely to AI.
Others believe AI should never be used.
We don’t agree with either position.
Professional production has never been about choosing one tool.
It’s about choosing the right tool for the right job.
Sometimes that tool is Unreal Engine.
Sometimes it’s Blender.
Sometimes it’s traditional animation.
Sometimes AI saves hours of repetitive work.
The difference isn’t the software.
It’s knowing exactly when to use it.
Creativity Has Always Adapted
Photography didn’t eliminate painting.
Digital cameras didn’t eliminate photographers.
3D software didn’t eliminate artists.
Computers didn’t eliminate animation.
Each new technology changed workflows.
Not creativity.
We believe AI will do exactly the same.
The studios that survive won’t necessarily be the ones using the most AI.
They’ll be the ones who understand where AI creates value—and where human experience still matters most.
The Tool Doesn’t Create Great Work. People Do.
We’re excited about AI.
We’re also cautious.
Not because we’re afraid of technology.
Because we’re responsible for every project that carries our name.
If AI helps us deliver a better result faster, we’ll happily use it.
If traditional techniques produce a better outcome, we’ll use those instead.
Our goal has never been to prove how much AI we use.
Our goal is much simpler.
To create work we’re proud to put our name on.
Every project is different.
Whether it requires traditional CGI, AI-assisted production or a combination of both, we build the workflow around the final result—not around the technology.
