Tymex Boxing Night 2019

JELENIA GÓRA, POLAND 2019

Instead of treating the LED screens as flat displays, we designed them to become an extension of the stage itself.
The project transformed a series of rectangular LED panels into a massive steel-inspired entrance structure, creating the illusion that the entire stage had been built from industrial metal wings. Using carefully designed perspective, lighting and animated textures, the physical boundaries of the screens visually disappeared.
Each fighter entered through a custom animated sequence, with their name emerging from electric energy effects before the stage opened into a dramatic entrance. Rather than simply displaying graphics, the LED content became part of the scenography and helped define the identity of the event.
The concept proved so successful that it remained the visual foundation of TymeX Boxing Night for multiple editions, becoming a recognizable element of the gala’s branding long after its original debut.

Designing visuals for a boxing gala goes far beyond creating attractive animations. Every screen becomes part of a live television production, where the layout must support the event from the opening sequence to the final fight.

For TymeX Boxing Night, we developed a complete LED visual environment that combined stage scenography, fighter entrance animations, sponsor integration and broadcast-friendly content. One of the project’s key objectives was transforming a collection of rectangular LED screens into what appeared to be a massive steel entrance structure. Through perspective, lighting and carefully designed textures, the physical borders of the displays visually disappeared, creating the illusion of monumental industrial wings surrounding every fighter entering the arena.

Live combat sports require a completely different design approach than concerts or conferences. Every entrance has to work equally well for both the red and blue corner, while maintaining a consistent visual identity throughout the event. Sponsor visibility is equally important. Every logo and branding element must be positioned where television cameras naturally capture them during introductions, interviews and the fights themselves. Good stage graphics don’t compete with the production—they become an invisible part of it.

The visual concept proved so successful that it remained part of TymeX Boxing Night for multiple editions after its original premiere. More importantly, it demonstrated how thoughtful LED stage design can redefine an existing venue without adding a single physical element to the stage. Instead of changing the construction, we changed how the audience perceived it.
